Celebrate mulberry season with this easy Mulberry Mojito recipe. A fun twist on a classic, this vibrant cocktail comes together in minutes with no special equipment. The muddled mulberries add a fruity sweetness that pairs perfectly with the tart lime, fragrant mint, and rum.

Recipe Background and Details

Mulberries are such a special fruit and versatile ingredient. For an extra special, grown-up treat, I love to make a mulberry cocktail. These Mulberry Mojitos are hard to beat and perfect for warm weather sipping. They are so refreshing and I can't get over that beautiful color from the muddled mulberries.

To use up the rest of those mulberries, I love making a big batch of my easy Mulberry Jam each year when we are picking bowl after bowl of these little jewels. An old-fashioned Mulberry Pie is always a must during mulberry season. And for a quick and easy mulberry fix, I love to whip up a few batches of these Mulberry Crumble Muffins throughout mulberry season.

Instructions - How to Make a Mulberry Mojito

A mojito is a muddled cocktail meaning the first few ingredients are added to the glass and squished before adding the remaining ingredients. It is typically not strained but can be if desired.

Add lime wedges, sugar, and mint to the bottom of a highball glass and muddle very well to release the lime juice, bruise the mint, and dissolve the sugar. You can use a muddler, the end of a french rolling pin, or the handle of a wooden spoon. Next add mulberries and muddle again to release their juices.

Add rum and ice and top off with club soda. Garnish with fresh mint, fresh mulberries, and lime wedges.
