This easy peach bourbon barbecue sauce takes minutes to make and is a great way to use up an abundance of ripe, summertime peaches! Make a big batch and freeze it to enjoy all year long!

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 1 quart

Ingredients

4-5 peaches (about 1 pound), pitted and sliced

1 medium yellow onion, peeled and chopped

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon ground ginger

1 tablespoon ground mustard powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

2 tablespoons honey

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

¼ cup bourbon

¼ cup ketchup

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons molasses

2 teaspoons kosher salt

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

Place all sauce ingredients in a high-powered blender and blend until you have a very smooth consistency. Add a splash of water if needed to help blend.

Pour this mixture into a saucepan and cook for 20 minutes until reduced. Be careful because it likes to bubble and pop as you can see from the above photo!

Allow to cool before transferring to jars. Refrigerate for 1-2 weeks or freeze for up to one year.
